Dum Dum Girls su američki noise pop/dream pop bend osnovan u San Pedru, California 2009.g. Bend je projekt pjevačice i glavne skladateljice Kristin Gundred (umjetničkog imena Dee Dee). Nakon objavljivanja par EP-ova na nezavisnim etiketama, privukla je pažnju kultne etikete Sub Pop za koju je potpisala u lipnju 2009.g. Debitantski album I Will Be objavljen je u ožujku 2010.g. i dobro je prihvaćen od kritike.

Pitchfork: Genuine earworms, both unfailingly hip and often wonderfully associative.

Album je producirao Richard Gottehrer koji je prije radio sa Richardom Hell-om, Blondie, The Go-go's i Raveonettes. Također je sudjelovao u nastajanju hitova ranih 60-ih My boyfriend's back i I Want Candy. Na albumu su gostovali gitarist Yeah Yeah Yeah's Nick Zinner, Kirstinin suprug Brandon Welchez koji inače svira u bendu Crocodiles te gitarist Andrew Miller. Album su promovirali na turneji zajedno sa Vampire Weekend i Beach House. 2011.g. izbacuju EP He Gets Me High koji sadržava obradu Smiths-a There Is a Light That Never Goes Out. Drugi album "Only in Dreams" objavili su 27. rujna 2011.g. opet u produkciji Richard Gottehrer-a koji je također dobro prihvaćen od kritike.



Spin: Gundred's richer-than-you-expect voice is the key to these jagged little pillows, whether dryly noting that a guy's 'Just a Creep,' soaring on 'Coming Down,' or lacing her echoes with sorrow on 'Hold Your Hand,' a reflection on her mother's death.

Pitchfork: Only in Dreams isn't a perfect record, but a little while down the line it might end up looking like the beginning of something-- the first steps forward for the band, or perhaps a raising of the bar for this entire revival. I wouldn't put it past Dee Dee to be the leader of the pack.

25. rujna 2012.g. namjeravaju objaviti novi EP End Of Daze koji je već najavljen singlom Lord Knows koji je Pitchfork već proglasio najboljom novom pjesmom.
Kao utjecaje ističu The Ramones, The Ronettes, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Iggy Pop-a, The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Cure, Patti Smith, Mazzy Star kao i lokalce iz San Pedra poput Mike Watt-a i benda False Alliance.
