Asymmetry Festival 4.0 @ Browar Mieszczański, Wroclaw, Poland, 03-05/05/2012

New bands have been announced for the next year's edition of Asymmetry Festival on May 3rd-5th, 2012. Wrocław's Firlej, has taken care of gathering an asymmetrical representation of France. The following will present themselves on one of the four stages in the Bourgeoisie Brewery [Browar Mieszczański] - the multi-instrumental Igorrr, unpredictable My Own Alaska, electronic Niveau Zero and hardcore Celeste. This will be the first contact with the Polish audience ever, for most of the acts.

Igorrr is a pseudonym of Gautier Serre, a French multi-instrumentalist and composer of the broadly defined electronic music. "Imagine a church organist, who went mad and thought himself to growl, and some computer processing whizzes learned to play the drums in Slipknot's rhythm, using electronic drums à la Venetian Snares. Igorrr is exactly someone like that." - states Dimitri Quarck of soundproector.com

My Own Private Alaska is a French trio, which are fairly difficult to label. They create new horizons, somewhere between Chopin, Nirvana and Danny Elfman.

Vladimir Bozar 'N' Ze Sheraf Orkestär
It was once said about him, that he is "an imaginary subject of absurd". And… this assumption is quite reasonable. Especially, as soon as we see the colourful musical goulash created by the offspring of the works of Frank Zappa and Secret Chiefs 3. It combines metal, punk, broken jazz, classical music and some outskirts of electronics. All the aforementioned, is places somewhere in his folk, Gypsy culture.

Niveau Zero
Frederic Garcia made his first steps as a hardcore bass player. The more surprising is the fact that, his name is now one of the most important names on the French electronic scene. His music combines the influences of dubstep, hardcore, metal and even hip-hop. In 2008, during the Printemps de Bourges festival, he was awarded a prize for "best, new act of electronics".

Celeste is something more than dark post-hardcore, sludge or doom metal of the highest class. Their music takes up important topics, of the contemporary world, and does it seriously. Their live shows take place in total darkness, with the band using only head-lights and stroboscope, which gives these events features of a spectacle. A broader announcement in case of this band is not necessary - the Frenchmen defend themselves.
